Feature: Selvedge. Although the rest of these items are noteworthy, the first silk scarf below is one of the most gorgeous things I've seen in a long time. It is made by Sachio Yoshioka, a revered Japanese master dyer. His life's work has been the creation of sublime textiles. Harnessing the potential of natural dyes and silk, Yoshioka employs a technique called kasane "layers of colour" to demonstrate his unrivalled sensitivity to colour, the seasons and nature.
